I. Event tickets can only be purchased via the website. The following conditions apply to the ticket sales:

1. Tickets are sold via the website using an order form provided there, which must be fulfilled to participate in the event. It is possible to change the data entered at any time. A binding purchase contract is concluded by clicking on the button “Order with obligation to pay” after selecting the payment method. After the purchase, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This contains the tickets ordered, the corresponding invoice, and these conditions of participation as retrievable and permanently storable PDF documents. We are not able to upload to internal billing systems.

2. We collect the following personal data from you for the purposes of event organisation: Academic title, forename, surname, position, company/organization, company address, and email address. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in connection with your order for issuing tickets and for the purpose of invoicing and ticket dispatch is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The personal data collected in connection with the order will be stored for 3 years and then deleted, unless we are obliged to store it for longer due to tax and commercial law retention and documentation obligations.

C. Prices and Payment Methods

I. Payment is made by invoice. All amounts are due for payment immediately upon conclusion of the contract and without deduction.

II. The statutory VAT is shown in the final price displayed if the services are taxable. The invoice is sent exclusively in digital form and as an attachment to the order confirmation.

D. On-site and Hybrid Events

The events take place on-site. Individual events are additionally offered as online events. You can purchase tickets for online events via our website and take part in the event via a live stream. If a live stream takes place as part of a hybrid event, a recording of the event will be made for documentation purposes. The recording is made available to both on-site and hybrid event participants after the event, giving event participants the opportunity to watch the event again. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in connection with the creation of the recordings is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR). You have the right to object to the recording in accordance with (Art. 21 GDPR). The recordings are stored for 3 years and then deleted.

E. Changes to the Realisation of the Event

We use these images and video recordings to document our events on our website and our social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, and X) as a review and also for the purpose of marketing and publicity for future events. The legal basis for the production of the image and video recordings and their use is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f), Art. 85 para. 1 GDPR in conjunction with §§ 22, 23 KUG. You can object to the (further) publication of the image and video recordings at any time, insofar as you are depicted there. To do so, you must contact: […].
